Jeff Littleton will retire as ASHRAE’s Executive Vice President in early 2027. Littleton has served as ASHRAE’s chief staff officer since 2004, overseeing a period of sustained organizational growth, global expansion and increased technical impact. The ASHRAE Board of Directors has established a selection committee to guide the search for the Society’s next Executive Vice President. ASHRAE will share additional details regarding the leadership transition in the coming months. Read more

In April, women throughout the HVAC&R industry gathered for the 2026 Women in ASHRAE Leadership Symposium in Los Angeles, where they explored a combination of technical and soft skill sessions over the course of two days. The 2026 conference brought together 280 attendees from various stages of their careers. “This gathering represents something bigger than a single event,” said ASHRAE President-Elect Sarah Maston. "It reflects a shift in our industry. One that recognizes that leadership is strongest when it is diverse, inclusive and reflective of the world that we serve.” Read more
The Publisher Podcast Awards has announced its shortlist of entries for 2026. Two ASHRAE Journal Podcast episodes earned a spot, as well as an episode of Hot Air. From hundreds of entries, this shortlist is composed from more than 130 podcasts, and winners will be announced on July 8. Read more
