Under the leadership of our newly appointed Chapter President, Dr John McKeon, ASHRAE Ireland is beginning the 2026/27 Chapter year with a renewed focus on member engagement, technical education, professional development and stronger connections across Ireland’s HVAC&R and built-environment community.

As part of this next phase, we are inviting expressions of interest from members who would like to play a more active role in the Chapter.
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following committee leadership and participation opportunities:

-Chapter Sustainability Chair and Committee Members
-Chapter Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chair and Committee Members
-Chapter Women in ASHRAE Chair and Committee Members
-Chapter Communications Chair and Committee Members

Becoming involved with an ASHRAE Ireland committee is an opportunity to:

-help shape the Chapter’s programme and priorities;
-contribute to technical events, student outreach and member engagement; -develop leadership and committee experience;
-build relationships with professionals across the sector;
-raise your profile and that of your organisation within the industry;
-and contribute to important areas including sustainability, inclusion and professional development.

Previous ASHRAE committee experience is not essential. Eligible new and existing members who are interested in taking on a chair or committee role are encouraged to get in touch. Members who would prefer to contribute as a committee member before considering a chair position are equally welcome.
Relevant guidance, regional training and support will be provided where available.
This is an opportunity to become involved at the beginning of an exciting new Chapter year and to help build a more active, connected and ambitious ASHRAE Ireland community.
