This article by Ruben Abreu, P.E., Member ASHRAE, covers major changes to the Internal Revenue Code as it transitions from the Inflation Reduction Act to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Some provisions from the IRA are set to expire; others are being phased out. There is now an introduction of Foreign Entity of Concern and notable wins for building owners, the manufacturing sector, architects and engineers such as (100% Bonus Depreciation and Section 174A). Read more

This scholarship recognizes their outstanding academic achievements, extracurricular involvement and dedication to HVAC&R. To assist volunteers when visiting non-members, schools, policy makers, and anyone not familiar with the Society, “This is ASHRAE” is available in the presentations section of Marketing Central on ashrae.org. This comprehensive presentation is created for volunteers to select slides relevant to their audience and piece together their own presentation. The Leadership Presentation is created for volunteers to provide updates to ASHRAE members at Chapter meetings or events, and contains the latest Society information relevant to ASHRAE members. These free, downloadable, easy-to-use tools are designed to help refrigerating and air-conditioning (RAC) plants improve performance, reduce emissions and promote energy-efficient, sustainable operations.
