ASHRAE TC 9.9 Datacom Encyclopedia
You might know about the ASHRAE Datacom Series, but have you heard about the ASHRAE TC 9.9 Datacom Encyclopedia?
The ASHRAE TC 9.9 Datacom Encyclopedia evolved in 2024 from the longstanding ASHRAE Datacom Series, a series of print books that provides information on data center-related subjects.
The Datacom Encyclopedia offers updated, previously unpublished content formerly covered by the Datacom Series books Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments, Design Considerations for Datacom Equipment Centers, and Liquid Cooling Guidelines for Datacom Equipment Centers, as well as PDFs of every edition of the 14 books in the ASHRAE Datacom Series for historical reference. Over time, the pertinent information from all the books will transition to be housed in this online encyclopedia.

New Distinguished Lecturers added to the roster for 2024-2025
The Distinguished Lecturer (DL) program provides ASHRAE chapters, student branches, neighboring universities/colleges, and other organizations the opportunity to hear outstanding speakers on the leading edge of technology. Chapters can request visits from Distinguished Lecturers through their CTTC RVC.
Each year CTTC reviews nominations for new Distinguished Lecturers to move into our limited number of positions. This year 14 new DLs from the large and very qualified pool of nominees were accepted into the program. Please join us in welcoming new speakers from around our ASHRAE globe:

2024-2025 Student Activities Centralized Training
Thursday July 11th 1-5pm EDT via WebEx
Student Activities Centralized Training will be virtual again this year! This training is for SA Chairs and Co-chairs that are serving in their role from July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 but since we will be virtual, it is open to anyone with an interest in Student Activities. Learn how to excel at the role of Student Activities chair and develop your SA network by meeting your Regional Vice Chair, other members from your region and other participants who have been successful in their role as SA Chair. This session will be interactive with discussions covering best practices, key deadlines, PAOE and running reports. After attending Centralized Training, you will be able to help student members apply for scholarships, student grants, and participate in the design competition. Perhaps most important, you will leave with new friends and contacts who you can reach out to throughout the year for help, advice, or inspiration.
If you would like to participate, please register here. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Thomson at
