Healthy buildings: IAQ, industry standards, & demand-controlled ventilation
We will define what makes a building "healthy," investigate the various challenges faced by different users, introduce the importance of collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to help organizations achieve their goals, and educate on the current industry standards for both ventilation rates (IAQ) and high-performance HVAC systems. Several examples will be given to help illustrate end-user use cases, engineering designs, and technologies that coming into the market. Finally, we will examine considerations during the construction process to increase the chances of operations inheriting a facility that will meet stakeholders’ IAQ and energy reduction goals.
